Attraction Causes Reaction...

When you attract, expect people to react.

When you are attractional, opinions will fly… there are businesses, sports, T.V. programs, people, cities, and even churches that attract people. All of these have those who love them and those who hate them, those who promote them and those who try to demote them. If you are willing to move anything forward in life, you will divide people… that’s just the way it is.

I get lots of feedback about what God is doing through our church… Some of it is great and some of it is not so great. We try not to operate our church off of opinions. If we did, we would never go anywhere.

We operate from a vision… that’s why we are attractional. We believe God has called us to a mission and the vision He has given to us to carry this out is what drives us to do what we do.

You can apply this principle to anything in life, relationships, finances, building a business, getting a job, finding someone to marry, raising your kids, or starting a church.
Know the truth about what you are doing, understand why you do it, and commit to see it through… If you don’t, opinions will mess you up.

Heck, when Jesus was walking around on planet earth there were many opinions flying around about Him. However, it did not stop Him from moving forward with what He came to do. He divided people like crazy. Some loved Him and some hated Him, some said He was wrong in His teaching and others said He was right, some wanted to promote Him and others wanted to demote Him… that’s just the way it is.

Jesus is very attractional… He was when He was walking around on the earth and He still is today.

Jesus walked on water.....what was his purpose in that??? It could be said that it was to show what he could do....or to get people's attention as in attracting attention and notice......a man walking around proclaiming to be the son of God and performing miracles is bound to get some hatred and doubt cast his way...just as a church who follows thier vision and does anyuthing it takes to reach people will get doubters and haters.....most of these are people who are "happy w/ the way it was". They love thier own little private church where they can sit and feel as if they own a part of it as in "my church".....they do not get that the point of it all is to reach NEW people and help them grow in thier walk w/ Christ...in fact I have heard older people say..." I don't want a bunch of new people in my church...i like it the way it is" ARE YOU KIDDING ME???????
Stay on the vision of BCC and we will see more and more amazing results as we go....getting young people excited means future marriages and future families...it means excited people out inviting new people...it means changing lives that change the world!!!
