Cole, my eleven year old son cooked us breakfast this morning. He put a spread out, I think he learned from the cruise ship servers.
A few quick thoughts about this:
1) He surprised his mom and I this morning, we had a great time eating and talking. It is an awesome thing seeing your kid learn the art of serving and giving. (He cleaned the kitchen too.)
2) I was thinking of this in terms of leadership... the goal of a leader is to train others to accomplish great things. When we can train others to serve and give, we've succeeded. This is what great leaders do, serve and give.
3) It is humbling and encouraging to be fed and served by others... Especially those you've poured in to.
4) Maybe we should think like this about our labor on this Labor Day.

Blessings come in many size packages. Besides, the fruit doesn't fall far from the tree! Keep up the good work! Oh and don't forget to thank Kim, she helped too! :)
Sorry, meant to put my name above comment.
