Teamwork...

It is awesome to work with a team. Yesterday afternoon I was reading Acts 17 and discussing it with Chris . We noticed something. Paul was all about teamwork! He work with others to reach and teach people the Good News of Christ.

Paul leveraged everything at his disposal to get the message of Christ out. He leveraged relationships, culture, connections, resources, Greek gods, and religion. Paul was all about getting this great message out to others. The team around him bought into this vision.

Paul was a workhorse, but I think we sometimes miss that he had others who were sharing the load. Paul was grateful for his team and wanted them with him. Look at Acts 17:15.

I am so grateful for the team that God has placed around me. Barefoot has so many people doing what it takes to get the Good News about Jesus out to our community.

We have people who pray, give, mentor, produce videos, create stage sets and graphics. God has blessed us with people who proof read, greet, fold weekly programs, and people who do lots of administrational work. We have people who work with students and children. We have people who change baby diapers each and every week.

We have people who sing and play musical instruments each week to the glory of God. We have people who use their acting and dancing skills to help connect people to the message of Christ. We have a team of people who cook, serve, and set up a cafe' each and every week so the world can meet Jesus.

There are so many people who spend countless hours working on things behind the scene. Like cleaning the facility, adjusting and programing lighting, getting computer program stuff ready, doing building maintenance, doing building planning, taking people places and going to see people. We have people who shepherd people in community groups, teach people the bible, and we have people who organize everything. We have people who support their spouses to allow them to work countless hours. We have people inviting people to church all over this city.

This list could go on and on... People, this is what teamwork is all about. Using what you have and working together for a common vision. I want to say I am grateful for the team I work with. We are impacting this city with the Good News of Christ. Way to go Team!!!
