Three Bible Verses that Rock My World... Part 1

The first three verses in the book of Titus rocked my world in my time with God.

When I put my name where Paul's name is... This is what I get:

1) God is my Master. Wow! The Creator of the universe cares enough about me to instruct and guide my life. I love His leadership. Oh, I need to stay in tune with this truth.

2) Jesus gave me a mission. He sent me out to do something. What a privilege and a responsibility. Jesus entrusted me to be a part of His great work. I get to be a part of what God is doing in the world. Wow! This is incredible when I think about it. The King of the universe allows me and trusts me to do something for Him. I have a relationship with the King!

3) I have been sent to do two things: a) Proclaim faith to others. I do this through word and deed. Saying it and spraying it...Talking about where my hope comes from and living out where my hope comes from. b) Teaching others to know the truth and apply it to their own life. My goal in teaching is not the instruction. It is application. If all I do in teaching is give information and there is no application, then there is no transformation. A great teacher gets his or her students to apply what they learn so they can experience the great life. Only when we apply God's Word to our life, do we see the life changing results.
Example: I can know God's Word says to tithe, but if I never apply bringing 10% of everything I make back to God, then I never experience the blessing God intends for me to experience. I have to apply this teaching in order to understand the blessing. When I, as the teacher, can get people to apply this truth to their life, their faith grows deeper, because they see God's realness! We understand the Goodness of God, when we apply His Word to our life. Application leads to transformation of the heart.
