WOW! ... That is about the best way I know how to describe the past couple of days. We have heard from some great church leaders today. Dr. Ed Young, Ed Young, Mark Driscoll, and Craig Groeschel. These guys communicated on "turning the what if into the what is". They talked to us about leadership and delegation, preaching Jesus, God using ordinary, insecure, risk-taking, pain-enduring people to accomplish his purpose, and if we want to do off the chain evangelism we need to be focusing on our children and students.
There seems to be so much energy flowing in our leadership team right now. We had dinner tonight and I could really tell from the conversations taking place that 15 people (the # of people we brought with us to the C3 conference) really get it. Really get turning the what if into the what is.
You don't want to miss this weekend at Barefoot.We will be finishing up our Living in Fast Forward series. It is going to be a weekend to remember and a turning point weekend in the life of our church. We are going to talk about "THE WHY BEHIND THE WHAT". I believe that is what we all need to answer. "What if" will turn into "what is", if we understand "the why" behind "the what". Think about that tongue twister before you show up this weekend. That is an amazing thought.
