Faith that works! I was reading this morning about how Joshua... (one of my mentors in the bible)... and his top leaders, the priests, had faith to cross the Jordan. They stepped into the water and watched God work... they saw that He is the real deal.
This lead me to the time that some men brought a paralytic to Jesus to heal. Jesus healed the man and the men again... saw that He is the real deal.
This lead me to the time when one of the king's important officers asked Jesus to heal his son. Again... this man saw that Jesus is the real deal.
Now what is interesting to me about linking all three of these stories together is that the faith that all these people had helped others find Jesus. Which causes me to get jazzed up about living by faith.
I am convinced that if we are going to change the world we have to live by faith. Telling people is not good enough. People will see that God is the real deal when we have faith in him.
I had a person hand me a $10,000.00 check yesterday because this person lives by faith. This person gives because this person believes... He, Jesus... The King... lives.
I feel like God wants Barefoot Community Church to be a faith living machine... Hang on because we are going to trust Jesus and rock North Myrtle Beach. People will know that what we do is because of God. Men and women cannot make these kind of things happen. Who in the world would move a church to a theatre that cost $11,000.00 a month with 135 people. We would... because we believe God wants to change the world and He has strategically placed us in the heart of North Myrtle Beach to do this. Guess What! He has provided every dime thus far and 100's of people have been changed because... He is the real deal!!! If we continue to believe, we will continue to achieve. We have big dreams because we serve a big God. Hang on because we are going to live on the edge and ledge where God lives and shows up EVERY TIME! I love you all and I love leading Barefoot Community Church where living by faith is our motto.
He is the real deal.
