Splish Splashing Away...

Living on the east coast is a blast! We have water all around us and on hot days this is real cool.

Yesterday… Kim, Cole, and I had the opportunity to ride jet skis in the waterway and out into the ocean. Man those waves are fun to jump. We found a shrimp boat and followed it and saw dozens of dolphins. That Rocked! We had the opportunity to ride right along side those amazing creatures. They were literally jumping out of the water just feet from our jet skis. It was so cool.

Here are a couple of quick thoughts from the trip.

1) Family outings are needed often. No, you don’t have to ride jet skis to be with your family… but we all need to do things with our families to create memorable moments. Yesterday was one of those for us. My ten year old will remember that moment for a lifetime. Building into our children is so important. You can hear more about this topic tomorrow in the church service. That’s what we will be talking about… "Helping our Kids Rock the House." You don’t want to miss this one.

2) Everybody needs a day off each week. We all need to take a day off and recharge. God planned it this way and it really works. Yesterday was not only fun in the sun… it was also refreshing. I get more done when I recharge and refresh myself with a Sabbath. It is the way we are built… rhythmic… everything about us has rhythm. Our heartbeat, our breathing, walking, the world we live in has seasons, days, nights, etc. Our great God is a rhythmic God and He has created us to be six and one creatures. Six on then one off… It works. We all need to recharge one day a week.

Kids Rock the House/BFCC
Its in what we Show
God blessed us with these kids, me and you-he says we should train them in what they should do.
1st we got to walk the walk-guide them how to talk the talk.
We got to walk straight and tall-so they will see how to balance they’re falls.
The teaching comes from us each day-everything is not in what you say.
Its in what they see us do-because the teaching comes from me and you.
It comes from the way we speak to others-its the words we share with our father and mother.
Train your kids in the way they should go- remember life is in what we show.
Always show your children love-and when they’re excited about something reach to them with a smile and a hug.
Don’t make kids hide the gift God gave to them-parents are the glass, kids are the stem.
Be a part of your child’s life-don’t be the reason for the pain and strife.
Children only want to make us proud-as they try to be notice in this earthly crowd.
In this earthly tug of war-that can weaken a kid until life becomes a bore.
Boredom is when we don’t have time-to help stimulate our children’s minds.
Encourage and train your children the way they should go-always remember it’s in what we show. By: Patricia Robinson-
